Services
General servicing
20–25 min a unit- Front panel and both filters washed, refitted dry
- Evaporator coil and blower wheel vacuumed
- Drainage pipe cleared and flushed
- Refrigerant pressure checked and recorded on the job sheet
- Thermostat and remote checked against actual supply-air temperature
- Fan-coil casing wiped down
Chemical wash
about 45 min a unit- For units still weak after a general servicing, usually coil fouling
- Coil and blower wheel removed, soaked in chemical solution
- Rinsed and refitted
Chemical overhaul
about 90 min a unit- Fan coil dismantled, every part chemically cleaned
- Drainage system flushed under pressure
- Reassembled and vacuum-tested
- Recommended after two years without service, or a fan-coil leak
Gas top-up
after a leak test- Done only once a leak test has been carried out
- We do not top up a leaking system without repairing the leak: the gas is gone again within weeks and the compressor runs at risk meanwhile
Not serviced: window units, portable units, ducted and ceiling-cassette systems, and all commercial or industrial plant including chillers and office VRV. Residential only.
